Star Wars is big at our house, and at the playground. Samuel really likes the movies, he is Obiwan and takes his death and return very seriously. Renee enters into discussions about the movies and may sit through 10 minutes before doing a puzzle. Matthew is all consumed by Star Wars. he wakes up most, if not all, mornings asking a StarWars question.
"Mami/Daddy, why in StarWars did Luke Skywalker kill Dark Vaders hand off?"
"why do you think matthew"
"Because the Emperor trying to kill Luke Skywalker and Dark Vader throws the Emperor in a dark hole"
We've discussed most scenes "why Han solo tell JabaHut no on the plank", "why Han Solo frozen", "why yoda old". We've also discussed Luke and Han Solo's physiology and how it compares to R2D2, C3PO, and Leia's (parents of young boys will relate).
This was a Saturday morning when Samuel slept over at my parent's. Matthew, Renee and i painted a Darth Vader mask out of a box, and in the 10 seconds I turned my back, Matthew had stared making "Dark Vader's gloves". The lightsavers are made of aluminum foil. Renee is doing her "India" dance from the school show and Matthew is battling a Jedi.

I bet you've learned more about the Star Wars universe in the last 6 months than the rest of your life put together. Me, I LOVE talking to Matthew about it! So fun!
ReplyDeleteStar Wars is HUGE at our house too. David and Ben have seen the original first two already and Return of the Jedi is poised on the DVR, ready for a rainy day.
