Samuel is so excited about his upcoming birthday that he actually burst into tears today when we told him that it was, in fact, not his birthday. Not being able to stand the tears we light a candle and sang Happy Birthday Samuel twice this afternoon, with special guests Buba Ruth (Marc's Mom) and Olga (a dear friend of our family from Mexico, she was also my first teacher and I remember many of the Montessori lessons she taught me to this day).
I had a longer entry planned, but it will have to wait - weekends are exhausting!
Eamon still wants it to be his birthday - he keeps asking if it's September again. No concept of months or time of course but we've tried to explain it anyway. It'll be a long year!
