Too Fast, Stop

A new game at our house that consists of Samuel sitting in an office chair at the computer and Marc spinning him around is the chair. Samuel requests for the sinning to happen "very fast" and Marc is only too happy to oblige.

At one point on Saturday morning though, Samuel said "too fast, stop", stood up and threw up his entire breakfast. While Marc cleaned up the mess, Samuel sat back on the chair and asked for more, seemingly unphased. For lunch that day he had an entire meal-size pizza - I guess he was hungry having emptied his stomach in the morning.

Reminds me of a game Samuel and Marc used to play when Samuel was a baby. Marc would lift Samuel above his head, and Samuel would laugh and laugh. They sometimes played this game immediately after eating, despite my warnings and objections. The results, as seen in this old picture, were much the same as Saturday's - Marc had to clean up and Samuel was happy and wanting more.

As an aside Matthew loves being held up high, just like Samuel did, and still does. Renee doesn't seem at all amused by this pastime - makes me go "hmmm" and wonder how much is personality and if any of it is gender?

  1. I'm always curious about what embedded gender traits exist as well. Helen and Connor are so different.
